Pulled from the world famous tom tom’s in moab ut. Rebuilt motor (about 1,000 miles on it now) 1835cc, stock crank, engle 110 cam, rebuilt fuel injected heads, dellorto frd carbs, cb performance washable air filters. 009 bosch distributor, electric fuel pump, tins powder coated, og heater boxes, single quiet pack exhaust (heat and fresh air vents work great). Rebuilt stock transaxle (stock r&p and gears). All new brakes (master & wheel cylinders, calipers, shoes, pads & hoses), new trw steering box. All new rubber, windows (pop-out windows), door, hood, fender seals and type 3 fender beading. All locks and keys work as they should. All new interior, dash pad, seat foam (early lowback seats), headliner, loop carpet, door cards & rear rubber mat (og rear seat back & wheel arches). Isp west sent me everything to do a “complete restoration.” everything electrically works... Switches, horn, hi & lows, dome light, 2 speed wipers, blinkers, emergency flasher, even the brake test light. Clock, speedo, and gauges were taken apart, cleaned and lubricated. Lowered 2 splines in front and 1 outer in back (looks, rides and drivers like a type 3 should) new oil shocks. Continental tires 165/60 /15 front, 185/65/15 rear, real porsche 2 liter alloys, caps, long lugs & locks, 155/80/15 spare. I rescued this car in june 2016 and rebuilt or replaced almost everything, but left the patina alone. Two sections of the passenger side pan were replaced (the front & under the battery; welded, seam sealed and por15-ed). There is a small spot of rust on the top and bottom of the driver’s side front fender by the door. The rest of the car is extremely dry and solid. It looks on the inside, runs and drives like a brand new car but the outside looks like it sat baking in the desert for 35 years.
